Where do Marathon runner go ‘potty’?

Ok, don’t laugh or send a ‘Face Palm’ my way!

It just occurred to me there is usually a 50 mile Bike ride in there and they are constantly drinking water or something…. and,  do you have ‘to go’?

Mercy, I don’t know!!

Ok, I have been listening to Finding Ultra: Rejecting Middle Age, Becoming One of the Worlds Fittest Men, and Discovering Myself

I bought it through Amazon, in the audio book format.  Actually, my youngest son bought it several months ago when I needed to use a credit or lose it…. when I saw the title and the Author I remember thinking  WTH !?  What is ULTRA and that ‘RICH ROLL’ cannot be a real name?

But Mr J (my youngest son) did participate in some running programs in School, so I thought, well fine.

BUT months and events have passed by,  and the next thing I know I have the treadmill dusted off and I am not only walking on the treadmill, but also lifting weights at the same time (much to ‘someones??’ concern!)

“… I am getting healthy, why not get FIT and SEXY !!??…”

Yeah!  WHY NOT !?

So I take an embarrassing picture I plan to retake next year, and see what has happened in 12 months.

 DARNED !! WRONG ONE AGAIN!!! (sorry)

 Now THAT is the embarrassing picture to which I referred …

I have 10 months to improve that pose (and that TAN !! UCK!)

LOL !  The other day I was looking over some of my first Blogs, where I had posted a ‘boasting’ about being on the treadmill for 30 minutes, walking and going over 1 mile…..I was so proud!!

Today, 2/23/2018 I completed the following after a 15 minute warm up, and then 5 minutes on the treadmill at 2 mph, and elevation at #10….

The pic on the left is One Hour and ten minutes (minus the 5 at 2.0 mph, and you have 65 minutes at 2.8 mph…).  The pic on the right shows a total distance of 3.21 miles)…. not bad I say !

Oh, by the way, as I was closing this all down, I noticed the elevation mode was still showing an ‘incline’ of .05 grade.

Well that is just sweet now isn’t it!

I have really enjoyed “FINDING ULTRA” by Rich Roll.  He has a lot of information in the book, as well as on youtube, and a wildly successful PodCast.

In some small way, each of these 10 items are already ‘in place’ for some part of my life.  Be sure, there is plenty of room for improvement!

But it feels good to hear someone else tell their story.

A few times, listening to Rich ‘read’ this book, I have felt tears coming into my eyes.

Especially when he talks about mending the relationship with his Dad.

Oh my.

Thanks Rich Roll, for what you have done.

I guess at 63 years old, it would be permissible for me to reject ‘OLD age’, seeing as how I have already sat on the couch through middle age, eating the ‘window diet’ (drive thru window) as Rich Calls it…

I still reject counting calories, I reject measuring protein, and I totally reject FEARING CARBS!

My reply is , You gotta be kidding ! LOL

But there is a Cowtown Marathon in 2019 in which I plan to complete.

In my age bracket of course.

That will be my first ‘Ultra’ while I reject ‘old age’.  Oh now come on… I will start with the 5K event.

Oh! and HOW do you like YOUR potatoes?
